Mariner's Lookout on Comox Bay
'Vacation Rental, Studio and Gallery
We offer a one bedroom, fully furnished second floor unit and a Gallery Suite on the main floor, both situated on a flourishing landscaped property overlooking Vancouver Island's Beaufort Range and Comox Bay.
The Gallery is a sometimes studio and gallery in the winter months. The gallery displays original art by Henrie (Henriette) Beaudoin, resident of the Comox Valley since 1967. Creating plays an important and necessary part of Henrie's life, whether it be on canvas, paper, clay, fabric and design at home and in the garden.
Henrie studied at the Kootenay School of Art and received a graphic design diploma. She worked in graphic design at our local newspaper, and later ran her own graphic design business. In recent years she has had the good fortune of exploring fine art mostly in the form of clay, acrylic on canvas and various drawing mediums. She belongs to a painting group and welcomes the opportunity to take workshops whenever possible.
Her work appeared at an NIC student art show, the Filberg Festival in a guest group art show, the Muir Gallery, multiple Pearl Ellis Gallery exhibits, the Sooke Fine Arts Show and at the Comox Recreation Center. Her works are in private collections locally and across the country and in Europe.
More recent paintings are not necessarily posted, please inquire if you wish to see more.

I cannot recommend Henrie Beaudoin too highly. We commissioned her to do an important piece for us, a painting from a photograph of our travels on our boat. We were incredibly impressed when it arrived and continue to love it every day. Many of our boater friends have followed suit and commissioned her to do a similar work for them. It’s a joy to walk through her house; the art that graces the walls is evocative and inspiring. Her use of vibrant color, realism and depth of perception are indicative of her professionalism and unique vision.

This letter is being written in support of the work of artist, Henrie Beaudoin.
My husband and I have been proud owners of two of Henrie’s works of art. The first is a nude in pastels first purchased by us about seven years ago. The second is one of the paintings in her “Imagine the Surprise” series, a whimsical group of paintings that always draws conversation, promotes speculation of what preceded the moment that is depicted, and invites story-telling.
Both have pride of place in our home where we display the original work of a number of artists.
At present we have commissioned Henrie to paint a portrait of our two grandchildren. We have seen her portraiture work and are very impressed and look forward to having her complete this piece that will be dear to our hearts. We have no difficulty entrusting her to do this for us.
Henrie has a creative spirit, an observant eye, a keen attention to detail, and a singular talent. It gives us pleasure to know her as an artist and active member of the community in her many aspects.
